What is Jin Shin Jyutsu?
Jin Shin Jyutsu® is a deeply relaxing form of “light touch” therapy – an ancient art of harmonizing the life energy in the body.
Most clients find it very, very relaxing. JSJ works on many levels, supporting all the organs, providing an antidote to overwork, stress, injury, fatigue – everything from a racing mind to an actual physical illness or injury.
Jin Shin Jyutsu works by reminding the body of its original, energetic blueprint, so that our dis-harmonies dissolve, our energy pathways reopen, and our youthful vitality returns.
Jin Shin Jyutsu works like acupuncture, but without the needles. Painless, gentle sequences of touch restore the circulation of the body’s electromagnetic energy, restoring original well-being.
I offer hour-long sessions of Jin Shin Jyutsu in your home or at your office, by appointment.
How does Jin Shin Jyutsu Work?
Here is a beautiful video demonstrating the “light touch therapy” practice of Jin Shin Jyutsu, and how the Markey Cancer Center is integrating Jin Shin Jyutsu into its alternative medicine program. You’ll also hear comments from the doctors and nurses at Markey describing their observations of the benefits of Jin Shin Jyutsu:
What is a session like?
So nice. You get to rest on a comfy massage table, wearing comfortable clothes, while I place hands gently on the body’s pressure points (SELs) to help your energetic blueprint find its way back to its original harmony. While factors such as daily wear-and-tear, posture, chronic movement, injury, and stress can lead us out of balance, this harmonizing art calls upon the body’s natural healing power to return us to our original, intended state of complete well-being. With its holistic approach and calming effects, this gentle practice is wonderfully beneficial for mind, body, and spirit.
Like Yoga, Jin Shin Jyutsu believes in our original wholeness & well-being.
“I love the simplicity of the approach – laying hands gently on areas of blocked energy to reawaken them and remind the energy where to flow. If you love the “savasana” part of Yoga class – or just a good nap – but rarely take time out if your busy day to enjoy a little down time for yourself, you will love Jin Shin Jyutsu.” -Erin
Many hospitals and wellness centers are now adding Jin Shin Jyutus to their programs, and its benefits are becoming more widely known.
