My Clients say…
…The real life usefulness for me has been in boundary-setting. A paradox is that, the more I allow into my field that doesn’t belong, the more self-protective I get. So in mediation with my ex, I was able to sit apart from him and draw the line on decisions. All in all, I was deeply touched by the personal nature of this workshop. I am also very grateful. My workshop binder filled with notes is valuable, as I am only beginning a healing journey. Thank you, Trailblazers!! With Love,

Why Horses?
Something magical happens when humans and horses come together with mutual respect and appreciation. Somehow, everything unessential drops away, and we stand before each other heart to heart, soul to soul.
For millennia, horses have been known to open us up to greater intuitive capacity, helping us reclaim our creative fire, and stand in our own authenticity with a quiet yet compelling power.
Some horses are natural healers. Drawn to areas of injury, stress, or emotional pain, they have a way of helping us release old tears and hurts that have been bottled for far too long. In a safe, controlled environment, let’s gently explore what’s possible.
For me, EFL is personal. As a child, I suffered from being bullied at school. During that dark time, my horse, Star, probably saved my life. Her noble friendship restored my self-esteem, rekindled my confidence and taught me the essence of leadership and heart connection. I feel so grateful to have had that experience, and now, thanks to the teachings of Linda Kohanov and the Eponaquest horses, I have the skills to share with others the wonderful gifts that horses can bring to our lives.
What is EFL?
Equine Facilitated Learning is a rapidly-growing, cutting-edge field. It offers a fast-track for inner work and transformation, leading to better relationships, more success at work, greater intuition and creativity. It brings us quickly in touch with the deepest ground of our being, building the self confidence we need to reach for and embody our own deepest passions, what I would call, our soul’s purpose.
My Colleagues say…
Thank you, Erin, for introducing me to Equine Facilitated Learning. Although I had heard good things about it, I was quite surprised by its power and depth. As a psychologist concerned with mind-body issues I found the experience to be deeply moving, informative, and healing. I discovered subtle fears I had about animals that were actually projections of fears about my own body. And the basic vocabulary of non-verbal communication you shared also allowed me to witness the exquisite sensitivity of that magnificent animal. I am most grateful for your kind and expert guidance.

Through Equine Facilitated Learning, we can learn to:
- Embody the nonverbal communication skills essential to thriving relationships
- Develop Leadership skills founded on authentic connection
- Tap into deeper layers of intuitive capacity
- Live wholeheartedly from a place of true authenticity
- Set clear and thoughtful boundaries without resorting to anger
- Rekindle your creative fire
- Cultivate the resilience to bounce back when life gets you down
- Increase your tolerance for vulnerability so you can say YES to life’s opportunities
- And that’s just the beginning…
As a kid, I learned these skills from my -legged best friend, Star. Thanks to her, in spite of all the challenges I was facing, I continued to believe in myself and went on to become a successful teacher, business owner, and entrepreneur.
Today, I am a Certified Eponaquest Instructor. I am honored to work side by side with Internationally recognized EFL expert Linda Kohanov. I love working with clients to break through the blockages that have held us back, so that we can live authentically and let our personal voice be heard in a way that makes a difference.
With horses as our partners in learning, the possibilities for personal growth, in alignment with care for the planet, are limitless.
My Clients say…
Dear Erin, My biggest “aha” moment happened in the ring with (the horse) Artemis when I could feel qualitative expansion of my heart field, and how dynamic our interactions became for me because of the awareness that brought into our exchanges. I felt the relationship as a living thing that was shifting at every single moment, and I felt how deeply and delicately I could impact that relationship based on how I was being. It brought me into an awareness of how alive and dynamic our connections are.
My favorite success has been with my son Roman – there has been a real shift in my reactiveness to emotional upset. I have found myself handling my responses FAR better, I believe because the experience with Artemis especially made me understand what an impact my responses have on the emotional body – both Roman’s and mine – and I feel a real desire to want to be
more deliberate about that. I am calmer, and consequently our being togetherness has improved a great deal.
I really loved the course, and loved how you deliberately sculpted it to have the four of us, Erin. It was healing for me on so many levels, and I really appreciated what all of you shared. I felt a real bond with you all.
Gratefully, Genevieve Anderson, Puppetropolis
My Clients Say
Dear Erin, Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my reflections from the Power of the Herd EFL workshop. I came into the experience feeling overwhelmed by life’s demands and whether I would be able to find workable solutions. Your presence of safety, confidence and patience allowed insights, shifts and positive change.
One of the most helpful things I learned was the information on the five roles of the Master Herder, especially the dominant and predatory roles… I knew there was an “appropriate” use of power, but could not figure out how to get there. This is where the horse work is invaluable. Head knowledge is necessary for understanding, but the actual experience working with the horses is what provided a visceral change. Talking about it only provides one part of the solution – understanding, actually allowing our bodies to participate – priceless! – Theresa Moore, Life Coach
My Passion
My personal passion and focus within the exciting field of EFL is about
empowering women and girls to develop the courage and confidence to follow their soul’s calling, and to make the world a better place for our children, and their children after them.
As an entrepreneur with a heart-centered business, I also feel passionate about helping people – men and women alike – develop the self-confidence and leadership skills they need to make a difference in the world by embodying the change they want to see.
The world needs people who have the self-confidence to lead with soft voices, calm minds, and a wide view; the survival of our planet may well depend on how willing we are to shift our approach from competition to cooperation, and from predatory to non-predatory models of leadership and power.
These are all things that horses can help us learn through EFL
